Le crème de la crème. I was so lucky to be able to capture this encounter. The rain was coming down pretty hard and as I was taking photos, this stellar blue jay was fluttering around this mom grizzly for over an hour. Her cub is just out of sight. The jay was not bothering mom but was looking for leftovers for sure. They look like they’re having a pretty sweet conversation in this image. It is truly remarkable how animals in the wild interact.
Another hazy morning in the Great Bear Rainforest. I woke up to this brilliant view after an all night rain. The haze was so fascinating, it is truly a big part of the Great Bear Rainforest. I will never forget having the opportunity to kayak first thing in the morning in such a peaceful and remote area.
A fantastic fall view of a Killarney . This image is from the shore of a small family cottage. What a blessing that the view is there for all the family to enjoy all year long.
About Monika Bogovic
I am deeply moved by the natural world that surrounds us, finding joy in the diversity and majesty of the Canadian outdoors. Photography became my passion over 20 year ago, driven by a desire to share the beauty I encounter with others, from the grand landscapes or wildlife encounters, to the intricate details of our natural world. With every hike and every season's change, I am reminded of the endless inspiration nature offers.
My photography seeks to preserve the genuine essence of the outdoors, minimizing alteration to convey the raw beauty I witness. Through my lens, I hope to inspire appreciation and a deeper connection with our natural environment, advocating for its preservation with every shot taken.
Each piece is more than an image; it’s a window to the wilderness, inviting the natural world into your space.
